Cons
Departments are dysfunctional and life is very stressful. A lot of unethical things happen like a republican CEO making handshake deals with a democratic governor while the rest of the people in the state fight for democracy in the name of a political party. Promotions are purely based on whom you brown-nose. Zero credibility for credentials or capability. You are forced to shift blames and point fingers at the lowest possible contractors for decisions that your executive leadership made (or did not make). Completely personality driven decision making. If you are smart and want to make a difference, do not apply for a job here. If you want stability at the expense of people treating you miserably, feel free to apply and enjoy.
