Pros

Large, stable and well-respected company. Excellent job security, especially for younger employees. Lots of different opportunities available. Annual bonus paid. Benefits are comprehensive (medical, dental, life insurance, sick leave). Company employee credit union is an excellent financial resource and great alternative to bigger banks.

Cons

-Annual bonus is not tied to individual performance, but to company's profit as a whole. One arm of the company under-performing can drastically reduce the bonus for everybody. -Also, while the company takes good care of employees for the most part, they have an annoying habit of pandering to shareholders at employees' expense. -As with any large company, finding an opportunity to distinguish yourself is difficult. For the most part, you're one of the herd. While there are many different opportunities for lateral movement, moving up is not likely.

Pros

Good benefits, stable conservative company. Can't move up in this company because people are waiting to retire.

Cons

Dinosaur in technology and take forever to hire, anything; even though they post jobs publically the majority of hires are from within the company or that your dad, mom, uncle or cousin worked there.

Pros

What they promise, they deliver. A well welcoming environment for transitions military, often promotes a work live balance and community service work. Listen and support new ideas. Prepares weekly training promoting safety and accountability,

Cons

Multiple projects for every employee leaving shortage of technical advice since baby boomers transitions out/retired. Many young, green yet aggressive managers need mentoring transitioning/merging old/new technologies.
