Pros

Doncasters, Inc. is based in the UK with subsidiary companies in Europe and the US. On the US side, we have great benefits- health, dental, vision and great 401K matching/vesting. Within my subsidiary, management is flexible with mixing work and family obligations and overtime is rarely required. Other pluses at least within my subsidiary, is that my colleagues on all levels are easy to get along with, my current boss allows for a lot of autonomy if you are a competent, valued, and trusted employee. Since the corporation is based overseas, there are plenty of business travel opportunities throughout Europe and sometimes other locales.

Cons

In the current economic climate, Doncasters is suffering along with many other corporations since it mostly manufactures products for other industries such as industrial and automotive. Many of it's subsidiary companies are laying off employees and incorporating work furloughs to compensate for the lack of production work. Within my subsidiary, salaries are usually on the lower end of the range, unless management is trying to attract better talent. I can't speak for Doncasters as a whole, but within my subsidiary, the lack of growth and promotion within my own subsidiary is another factor on the downside. There are several other negative factors, but if I went into further detail, it would be easy to figure out which company I work for within the corporation. Overall, I can't complain too much, as no job is perfect, but the things that were promised to me upon hiring never panned out and as an employee I am loyal and hardworking, but feel that this company just treats its workforce like they are just "another number" or worker bee.

Pros

Zero pros. A few nice people but annual turnover is an astonishing 50% for this site.

Cons

Unethical, Horrible shareholders, CEO, VPs site directors, managers, facilities and benefits. Everyone must work most Saturdays due to staffing/productivity issues, rotating shifts with weak pay and benefits, with a few floating off days. HR is non-existent and stays isolated from employees just to keep the revolving door of hires going. Equipment and Systems are ancient. Zero Investment. No Mission, Vision or core company values.

Pros

The actual employees, (for the most part) that work at this location, are nice.

Cons

The management and supervisors are horrible. They don't give you the chance to move up when years and years of hard work has been put in. They don't care about hourly employees.
