Pros

Decent comp, fast moving, strong focus on economics.

Cons

1. Culture – skews male and frat. No thank you. 2. Abysmal diversity. The reason for this is simple: initiatives to increase diversity are not supported or prioritized. This is something they have acknowledged is a nice-to-have but made no effort to actualize. Walk into any executive meeting and you’ll see what I mean. 3. Treatment Women – The company does particularly awful in the area of diversity and inclusion, especially as it pertains to women. There are so many examples I have experienced, observed, and been made aware of by other concerned females. Like the time a celebratory email went out to the whole company showing its top male performers posing with hardly dressed women in a club in Vegas – yeah, they like to celebrate their successes. Or the countless times me and my female colleagues were disrespected in meetings because talking-over, interrupting, mansplaining and dominance are regular behaviors. Or the time when, as a female hiring manager, my authority to hire was questioned and undermined by leadership until my decision was reinforced by my male manager. The list goes on. 4. Treatment of Dashers and Merchants - The company is in need of ethical overhaul. There is no concern for the well-being of dashers and their business policies reflect exactly that. On the other end of the spectrum, I have seen ethically questionable behaviors around authorizing individuals to become dashers despite failing background checks. The company is too unorganized to properly enforce its own standards. 5. Lack of senior engineers and managers. Contributes to a lack of direction and leaves teams spinning their wheels. 6. ZERO work life balance.
