Cons

Insecure middle management will be what keeps this company from reaching the next level. Employees 60+ are consistently disregarded, given low unfair raises, and pushed out prior to retirement. This is all while leadership brags about “saving the company money” by pushing some to leave before their planned retirement. Gossiping to direct reports about other individuals performances and downfalls seems to be taking place more often than not these days. Insecure leaders are leading with fear, showing favoritism, not investing in the growth of all employees, and in turn - robbing Dot of high performing teams and growth potential.

Dot is a good place to work because they actually treat you like a person and not just another number. The company is big about being family friendly and keeping a good working environment. They don't tolerate their managers yelling or behaving aggressively. There is room for advancement for those with education.

Cons

They claim that people don't have to have degrees to advance in the company but in reality if someone wants to advance further than a floor lead or trainer they have to have some sort of four year degree. They do have a tuition assistance program so it's not all bad. In some areas they have some poor managers but overall their leadership is good. The biggest thing that they could improve on is diversity and inclusion. They claim to have a program but in truth most managers and supervisors have a major problem with this.
