      great company, lots of opportunities

      Pros

      -always felt safe here -private airplane -various trainings in different states -lots of other young professionals (fun happy hours and outside acitivities) -pretty good work/life balance (9 80s) -fun site events (jambalaya cookoffs, volunteer events, celebrations)

      Cons

      -cliquey (if the cliques don't like you...it's hard to be respected/get help) -operators sometimes got annoyed with the new young engineers -some office drama among the young engineers (keep your personal life private)

      Pros

      Decent pay with good benefits. Lots of opportunity to move up and better yourself. The management is generally well connected to the employees.

      Cons

      Lots and lots of beuracracy, it's never ending and stifles creativity and innovation sometimes, let alone just getting your work done. There is a union but favoritism runs strong when it comes to promotions.

      Stable; an engineer's perfect sandbox

      Pros

      As a Chemical or Mechanical Engineer, you can go absolutely anywhere in the company. Great compensation and benefits; comparable compensation to oil field (10% less) with a much more stable workforce. None of the volatility in job security that oil fields see.

      Cons

      Corporate restructuring occurs every 18 months which realigns everyone's goal. Within Manufacturing and Engineering, there are functional silos (Operations, Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, Technology Center) and each function has their own goals which can often be in contrast.
