Pros

While the pay is lower than industry average, the retirement benefits are good. Would love more than 3 weeks of vacation and insurance is a high deductible plan which is expensive.

Cons

Leadership makes careless decisions without taking into account the opinions of employees. Requiring employees to be in the office 3 days a week when the people I work with are not even located in the same state as me does not make any sense. I come into the office and take calls/send emails and have 0 interactions with anyone in the office.

Pros

Benefits are competitive and stable. Culture is decent.

Cons

Senior leaders are out of touch with employees and have ignored employee feedback regarding what employees need to be productive and get work done. Employees have maintained they value hybrid work and get more done working remotely than in the office in open air cubes where disruptions are constant. Yet, senior leaders consistently take away remote work and add more days working in the office. If you want to work full time in the office with little flexibility, come to Duke.
