Pros

good benefits including insurance and paid time off. pension and 401K plan educational advancement and financial assistance overtime pay for some holidays

Cons

lack of opportunity for advancement for all employees salary lower than some private employers in the area for similar work except for direct patient care salaries. no 401K for bi-weekly employees.

Pros

I will say that Duke has a lot of quality physicians and the nurse/physician relationships are something to be proud of.

Cons

I felt during my time at this institution that management was more interested in meeting their numbers than in their employees.
