Pros

Great people to work with, students are so nice and want to learn. The curriculum is made for you; all you have to do is teach it using ready-made materials. This worked well for me since I had another part time job.

Cons

Low pay--1300 per course isn't much when the class meets 3 x per week and you live an hour from campus. Also, I had office hours and had to sit at the campus during those hours even if no students had schedule meetings with me.

Pros

Great students and faculty. I've worked in many community colleges in NC and Durham Tech is the best.

Cons

No advancement, no pay raises, increased work load, no money for professional develoipment outside of what is available on campus and those opportunities are usually during the breaks.

The people and students were great. You will work hard but still have a good work life balance. Has a good work cycle.

Cons

Pay and advancement was limited. Professional development was limited as well as training. Location is not the best but easy access due to highway.
