Pros

Excellent benefits. Their move to Unlimited PTO was very beneficial to the employees, to those allowed to take it. The actual product is very good (arguably the best in the market) and you will always be learning.

Cons

Can confirm a very toxic work environment. On multiple levels. Some toxicity was downright illegal and watched many fellow employees leave due to it, me as well. - Immediate Management does, in fact, not care unless you've been with them from the start. I watched many great employee's careers get the short end for no other reason outside of their manager didn't like them. Wellness Days were denied even though company mandated. PTO was denied simply because the manager could and would tell you this directly no matter the situation - "I don't want you to take the day off so you can't"Their open-door policy is just for show and utilizing it immediately puts you in the losing bracket with a target on your back. I watched managers give up on their employees simply because they didn't want to deal with it causing even more employees to leave. When I came aboard they only had a 2 or 3 ERGs, no woman erg, no veteran, no pride. It was only until a few employees took it upon themselves to start those did it finally get recognized and getting them official was very tike consuming. Even the interview process was convoluted. The technical questions they asked were far above what would actually be required for the job, basically wanting someone with a Master's for a simple helpdesk position.

Little direction, no runway, and high churn rate. Company is greedy (IPO was not shared with employees) Opinion of employees is never sought.

Pros

I held a director-level position. While there were politics, there were remarkably few. Comments from upper management were direct and you always knew where you stood. While opportunities for advancement had to exist in order to have an opening, promotions were primarily merit based. If you and your department achieved or exceeded its targets, you were rewarded and gained more responsibility. If you couldn't, depending on how much, you first received greater oversite and coaching, and if that didn't help, a PIP.

Cons

Due to the Internet bust, recovery, and bubble, morale was poor and senior management didn't help. To save electricity, the lights were dimmed or turned off where not necessary, which contributed to the morale issue. During this time, employees knew that there was 18 months of cash in the bank. CEO and HR used Jack Welch's performance review method, which did not apply to a company this size.
