Pros

Visionary CEO. Continuous growth breeds challenges and changes, leaving no room for boredom. Recognition for efforts. Flexibility, support, and trust from management that are crucial for employees with young children. Medical insurance coverage for full time employee provides ease of mind especially with ever escalating healthcare costs. Luncheons and potlucks are real treats given the food varieties due to a multicultural environment.

Cons

No shower room for those who cycle to work.

Pros

I'm a fairly long time employee with JLA having been here more than 10 years. And I am non-Chinese which hasn't had any affect, good or bad, on how I do my job or how I am viewed by any of the other employees. It is true that there are a number of Chinese people working here at JLA as there are a number of people from other races. I don't know the percentage of each race as it does not concern me. What I am concerned with and what I like about working at this company is that I get to work together with a lot of smart and talented people. It takes a lot of these smart and talented people JLA to be so successful for so many years. One of the other reasons why I enjoy working at this company is that there are so many opportunities for employees to be involved. JLA is involved in the areas of sales and marketing, e-commerce, product design and development, merchandising, web design, content management, logistics, supply chain management, warehousing, order processing, and more. If someone has an interest in any area of the retail industry there is most likely a place for them at JLA. Of course if being close to restaurants and the freeway are at the top of your list of new job requirements we can meet those too.

Cons

Most departments in the company work at a fairly fast pace. In order to maintain the growth rate that we have experienced in the past there are always a number of new projects being worked on at the same time. For some this may not be something they like. Although it can be a little stressful once in a while it also adds some variety to the work day and makes the jobs more interesting.

Pros

Entrepreneurship environment. I have freedom to try whatever I like. Good co-worker relationships. Respects from my boss.

Cons

It's a cheap company hardly wants to spend for employees. And the chance to advancement is not big. Lots of remote workers, poor communication with Headquarter team members.
