Most UNPROFESSIONAL workplace ever!

Pros

Nothing I can think of.

Cons

I've worked at many companies before (at least 6) and this is by far the most unprofessional workplace. The culture is like a "chinese" workplace. Cheap, cheap cheap. Managers yell at employees and everything is secretive. Managers have no backbone to support you cause they are afraid to get in trouble unless you "know" someone up top. They will fire you without warning or justification, just because you don't get along with them or don't speak fluent mandarin. Don't waste your time here, there are much better organized, professional jobs elsewhere.

Pros

I'm a fairly long time employee with JLA having been here more than 10 years. And I am non-Chinese which hasn't had any affect, good or bad, on how I do my job or how I am viewed by any of the other employees. It is true that there are a number of Chinese people working here at JLA as there are a number of people from other races. I don't know the percentage of each race as it does not concern me. What I am concerned with and what I like about working at this company is that I get to work together with a lot of smart and talented people. It takes a lot of these smart and talented people JLA to be so successful for so many years. One of the other reasons why I enjoy working at this company is that there are so many opportunities for employees to be involved. JLA is involved in the areas of sales and marketing, e-commerce, product design and development, merchandising, web design, content management, logistics, supply chain management, warehousing, order processing, and more. If someone has an interest in any area of the retail industry there is most likely a place for them at JLA. Of course if being close to restaurants and the freeway are at the top of your list of new job requirements we can meet those too.

Cons

Most departments in the company work at a fairly fast pace. In order to maintain the growth rate that we have experienced in the past there are always a number of new projects being worked on at the same time. For some this may not be something they like. Although it can be a little stressful once in a while it also adds some variety to the work day and makes the jobs more interesting.

Fake positive reviews posted by management

Pros

Some co workers Its a J.O.B.

Cons

I like how upper management started posted fake reviews when most employees left because of them. "If you are lame, you won't last long (see negative reviews by disgruntled washouts)" Turnover rate for new people continuously to be high for a reason. When you have some managers thinking its OK to yell at their employees then you know what kind of company you are really in for.
