      Pros

      EDB is a well run company who absolutely knows what its mission is; to profitably grow the company for a liquidity event in 2-3 years. Open source in general and Postgres in particular, are top of mind now in Corporate America. Postgres is a solid DBMS and a strong and lower cost alternative to Oracle. This resonates with many companies. There is a buzz of activity here and the future looks bright.

      Cons

      Not sure this is a con but if you like to be coddled and encouraged, then EDB might not be for you. The HQ is functional but not lavish. There are no beer kegs and neck massages. Come here to work and make $$.

      Pros

      The communication shared within the company was always outstanding. The CEO stayed in close touch with all of the employees.

      Cons

      The product direction was not always clear and marketing was not able to provide the appropriate level of expertise or support to help sell the product.
