Pros

Deep technical work — you get to work on real PostgreSQL internals rather than superficial features. Senior engineers are truly world-class; every discussion about architecture, MVCC, the optimizer, or storage teaches you something new. Professional and respectful culture with smooth global collaboration. Clear product direction and long-term technical vision without constant pivots. Excellent remote-work experience with mature, trust-based management.

Cons

Working with a global team sometimes means adjusting to different time zones. The technical bar is high, so new hires may need extra time to ramp up.

Great Work-Life Balance + Remote Work Done Right

Pros

Leadership genuinely seems to care about employees. I feel valued and appreciated here. I have flexibility with my schedule and am trusted to get my work done fully remotely. Wellness Fridays are a great perk. It’s nice to know I won’t come back to an inbox full of emails, since everyone in the company is off too. The culture is friendly and collaborative, and there are great ways to connect with others across the globe through things like Employee Resource Group meetings.

Cons

If you like things slow and steady, this probably isn’t the place for you. The environment is fast-paced, so you need to be comfortable with change. That seems to be normal for a company that is growing fast though.

Warning: Avoid this Company

Pros

1. Everyone may work remotely from home.

Cons

1. The priorities for Human Resources are alarmingly imbalanced and discriminatory. The CHRO has openly stated that her goals are tied to diversity targets. 2. The executive team makes arbitrary, destabilizing decisions, resulting in a ridiculous rate of employee turnover. After nearly three years with the new team, long-term employees (3+ years) are nearly extinct.

Thank you for sharing your perspective; we are committed to building an inclusive and transparent culture. We are glad you appreciated the flexibility of our remote work environment. To ensure accuracy, we want to clarify that our attrition rate is consistently lower than the market average, and we have a healthy percentage of long-term employees. We also want to be unequivocally clear: we support authentic transparency and do not incentivize or coerce reviews on Glassdoor or any other platform. Our leadership is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as demonstrated by initiatives like our Employee Resource Groups, EDBiasFree Committee, and more. While we see you’re listed as a former employee, the lines of communication remain open. We encourage you to reach out directly to our People team if you would like to discuss your experience further.
