Pros
Good culture and GREAT people. Unbeatable benefits package. Very Flexible when employees face personal/home/family crises. Good internal communications. Clear direction regarding goals and objectives. Fair and open annual and mid-term performance reviews.
Cons
Very restrictive (CHEAP) with salaries and office expenses. Well behind industry in terms of time off and pay. Renovations within branches are done on the cheap and take an absurd amount of time to complete (same work at other carriers take 2-3 weeks while at EMC it takes months. Employees are put in a conference room elbow-to-elbow at small tables facing walls during such time. Management has it's favorites (blatant and not well deserved in some cases - for employees and agents )and doesn't do a good job of hiding it. Workload is not fairly and evenly distributed. Working late and working at home after hours is encouraged. Working remote (from home) during business hours occasionally is frowned upon and rarely/grudgingly allowed.
