Pros

Workload is very manageable compared to other labs I’ve worked for. I’m treated with respect and the corporate office handles lots of things for you. HR is great! QA is fantastic! Transfer opportunities are available.

Cons

Benefits are a little pricey considering deductibles are so high. Limited room for growth opportunities, at least at branch locations. Though, EMSL encourages and follows through in cross training, at least in my experience. Pay for analyst positions are not what I’d call great, but jobs like these can really only pay so much, and I feel I’m compensated fairly. No job or business is perfect, but this company does work on growing and being better over time, unlike some of their competitors.

Very confusing messaging you get from higher ups. Seems to be favorites and others feel looked down on.

This is an easy place to start your career and gain basic skills needed to work in a lab.

Cons

Corporate has ridiculous policies about pto and wants employees to constantly being making overtime. There is little room to grow here and most salary negotiations go nowhere.
