Pros

Good experience as a first full-time job in science, great co-workers (not management)

Cons

- low pay for the amount of work you do - manager was toxic, rude, vindictive, made me and several co-workers cry, treated people preferentially, was unapproachable and took constructive criticism poorly - no room for personal growth - depressing workplace - high turnover means there are times where you might be the only person who is fully trained to do analysis and so you have to do all of it

Pros

Lab safety is very good Lab manager and department manager are both very helpful and the coworkers at the lab are too.

Cons

Consistently understaffed, corporate is completely disconnected from the needs of the lab. Had productivity bonus cancelled because corporate "miscounted". The workload is high and consistently stressful. A lot of equipment is old and corporate refuses to replace it.

Pros

Literally none, there are no pros to this job.

Cons

Some people are in positions that do not belong to them. They do not do any work at all and yet act like the boss. They leave all the work to underpaid employees and except them to meet deadlines. It’s ridiculous especially if deliveries happen after 3pm. It makes no sense to be promoted into a position just to not do anything and push the work onto other co-workers, especially when their load is already too much. The pay is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve seen other labs pay way higher wages for an entry level job. I am so glad I have moved to a better job with a better environment that isn’t toxic. It’s disappointing how so much work is pushed onto one person with such a nasty low pay. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They do not and will never care about you.
