Pros

Learning opportunities (awesome for junior/middle level, not interesting for seniors). Good culture. Ability to switch projects (but it is hard to switch to a better project). Ability to take a sabbatical.

Cons

Projects are not exited. This is an outsourcing company so - you will build relationships with the customer team, not with the Epam team, and those relationships are more complex to build as you are a contractor. So, not many options to build a friendly relationship if you want. This is also an outstaffing company - so there are a lot of projects when you will be only one from the Epam side (or a very small team). Work-life balance - is almost impossible, if you are a senior or manager. Because you have to prove to a customer that you are worth the money that they pay Epam. They told me that they have relocation abilities but in fact - no. You'll not be relocated even if you are a really good engineer (based on feedback and others' recommendations). And even they can promise you that relocation will be done in some period but in fact - no. Because it depends on the market situation, and for me, it looks like relocation with Epam has no difference from relocation without Epam. Assessment - Epam has an assessment procedure, in other words, an Exam, where you'll be estimated not by your manager, but by guys who don't know you and how you work. And those guys will ask theoretical questions, and based on these answers they will tell you - your grade (affect salary). As a result - a bunch of leads who work worse, than middle developers (and everyone knows it!), and a bunch of senior developers who are underestimated, even if they performed as architects.
