Pros

You get paid weekly and you can create your own schedule as long as you work I believe three times a month to maintain working status.(I’m not 100% but it’s something like that). If you don’t like a school you don’t ever have to go back. By far the easiest job.

Cons

There will always be cons with any job. Keep in mind this is the thing that gets you to the other thing.

Pros

I needed classroom experience to get full-time certification, and ESS got me into the classroom quickly. I was able to teach a variety of classes and to choose my own assignments, so very flexible. Also, better pay than most hourly jobs.

Cons

They didn't give a whole lot of training on classroom management or what exactly a substitute is empowered to do. So, it sometimes felt like I was helpless to deal with misbehaving kids. All I could do is leave a note for the full-time teacher.
