Agree with every other bad review here and will add more detail. (I wish I'd seen them before I started there and my new colleagues showed them to me! I wouldn't have wasted a year of my life putting effort in for someone who appreciates nothing and no-one.)
I don't believe in burning bridges, (I've worked for some tough companies in my time) but I would torch this one without looking back as a warning to others. I was told there was "a lot of potential for growth." This translated to "it's an underperforming sh@thole that can never improve because of the micromanaging old man who owns it." He's a typical case-study of how having money and surrounding oneself with hand-picked grovellers for too long makes people lose the plot. He should have stepped down years ago when perhaps he was still mentally capable.
Andrew Han treats European staff the same appalling way he treats his little slaves and yes-men in Taipei and USA. EU offices are in a total mess and have been for years, he's been robbed blind by the bitter staff HE created with constant belittling and he didn't even notice! (Great CEO!)
He brought in new managers to fix it, then turned on them when they start telling him the facts, turned up occasionally, had a tantrum, spoke to people like crap and had NO understanding that HE is the reason his entire staff are dejected and make no effect. When they do, or come forward with suggestions or challenges, he shoots them down or sacks them.
Never have I met a more insecure and vile little man. He has many opinions but no actual clue about the EU business, taxes, customs, customers or law, and has no interest in listening to his managers who do and could HELP him.
No-one still there actually puts any effort in, those with spines, good at their profession and with a bit of pride have left, any decent human beings remaining are looking to get out. Company will be left with a bunch of terrified kids with zero experience lead by an egomaniac and a viper sales manager in it only for himself. I give it a year before Han shuts it all down and moves everything to his precious and incompetent Taiwan team.
At Computex he invited a bunch of media to a huge dinner, got their names wrong and in an INSANE display of meglamania and showboating, promised all his managers sat there shares worth half a million! Press all laughed under their breath and we all died of shame. Needless to say they never materialised, possibly because the EU company lost 40 times that under his incompetent management previously, or possibly because it was utter bull to massage his ego.
Work at EVGA if you want to be undermined and have all your expertise totally ignored. Work at EVGA if you like being verbally humiliated in front of colleagues, told as a team your can do more and are "costing him money" while the owner buys a £200 bottle of wine at dinner and puts it on expenses. Work at EVGS if you want your intelligence to be seen as a threat instead of an asset, and work there if you want to be slandered and slagged off by him to anyone in the industry who'll listen if you dare to leave.
