Just like many other companies, their business was turned upside down during COVID. Layoffs were bound to happen, but unfortunately the "family like" atmosphere has been stripped away - both from their layoffs, and from their senior leadership change. Bringing in fresh people with ideas is a good thing, though the new people in charge definitely seem to not respect or care about the culture that EXOS cultivated for decades. It happens, but what once was a cohesive company is now pretty fractures.
- Trying to position themselves as a direct to consumer fitness entity is very difficult in today's age when the business has been built upon corporate and in person coaching programs. I know why they are trying to do it, but I don't see much success in the future.
