Fun working environment with a lot to gain from

Fun projects with a variety of building types to work on. Flexible hours, solid benefits and good PTO to start. Very friendly environment for the most part with all the tools you need at your fingertips. Stanards for drafting up to date and ahead of a lot of engineering firms.

Cons

Long hours, deadlines can be short noticed and pressed. Some projects may not have the sufficient hours required to complete.

Work experience depends on what office location and department you work for. Leadership of the Land Development Group likes to yell at people and it can make the work environment very uncomfortable. Project work is not very diverse.

Pros

The corporate structure was well set up, defined and transparent. As with any large company, there are hurdles from a bureaucratic standpoint, but they are well thought through. There were many great managers but also many subpar managers. This is the case anywhere. They key is to work with a great manager and a close-knit team which would make the work not only more productive, but more enjoyable as well.

Cons

When proposals are put out touting the breadth of experience across the company and how many people and offices collaborate, my experience was that each office does their own thing, and it's hard to actually get people who are not a part of your office to get invested in your project.
