Pros

1. beautiful offices in a great location 2. opportunity for travel 3. nice art in teh meeting rooms

Cons

I have a successful City background and enjoy a fast paced working environment, but have never worked anywhere as unbearable as London EY. Miserable auditors, miserable consultants, miserable support staff. 1. High pressure environment with low leadership accountability allows unchecked bullying, breeding high turnover. 2. Promotion is held out like a carrot but rarely granted. Senior staff take credit for the work of juniors. 3. Staff are given work that does not bear any relation to the role they were recruited for, or even their skill set - you are simply a 'body'. 4. A 90% team turnover in a year is a good indicator of dysfunctional leadership, yet HR do not take any visible action. 5. Many of the EY awards seem to be PR jobs as they bear little relation to the actual working conditions e.g. Times 'top 100' employer award and MAKE award for knowledge management.
