Long days at the branch

Pros

Stable employment with good exposure to retail banking. Great experience for those new to the industry.

Cons

There was rarely a quiet day. Between customer transactions, compliance requirements, and sales goals, it often felt like there wasn't enough time to complete everything during office hours.

Great training

Pros

This was a great place to start and develop my banking career. I received proper training and was given opportunities to take on more responsibilities over time. The work helped improve my communication skills and attention to detail. I also enjoyed working with supportive colleagues.

Cons

There can be a lot of paperwork and compliance requirements, but that's expected in the banking industry.

Pros

Everyone worked together during busy periods, and the branch developed a strong team dynamic.

Cons

The workload kept increasing without enough additional support. Customer queues, reports, compliance tasks, and sales expectations all competed for your attention throughout the day.
