Pros

The Eaton Business System ensures consistency of business processes across a wide range of groups, global regions, and divisions. Each employee is responsible for his/her own career path and development planning (with Leaders' input as needed). Communications with employees is open and honest. Eaton has a plan for growth and diversification and is successfully executing the plan.
Cons
The process to select employees for RIF, when necessary, seems ambiguous, except for performance issues. Strategy is so important to Eaton that implementation sometimes takes a back seat.
