Pros

EchoStar is known for not doing layoffs. This provides a stable work environment, one which you can excel in with a hard work and dedication to your job. This hard work can provide fair, if slightly under-valued raises and promotions.

Cons

EchoStar provides average salaries and raises, at best, compared to the rest of the industry. Their medical benefits are also beginning to slip, although I think that's becoming more common throughout the industry. For two years now, performance appraisals have been delayed with little warning or explanation (the performance appraisals and increases HAVE come, just after a month or two delay).
