I’ve worked for several other non-profits, but Eckerd Connect is one of the few that still has my respect and admiration after all these years. It’s easy to become disillusioned working in the public sector, but EC sticks to its guns and never wavers in its dedication to its mission. Of all the non-profits I’ve worked for, this is the only one I would recommend to others.

Cons

I’m just going to be honest, this isn’t the right fit for everyone. If you aren’t extremely compassionate, patient, and willing to put the kids we work with first, then consider applying elsewhere.

From the kids we help to the staff that keep this place running like a well-oiled machine, Eckerd Connect is a great place to work. The culture is what keeps me coming back day after day. We’re all passionate and committed to helping as many kids as possible.

Cons

Top heavy with leadership. Breakdowns in communication can cause disruptions in productivity.

Pros

Ask just about anyone who works at Eckerd why they do what they do. Their answer should be: “We do it for the kids.” Everything we do, from the programs we offer to building relationships with families, is done for the kids. We’re fully and wholly committed to seeing our mission out to completion and helping as many kids as we possibly can. I appreciate being a part of that mission.

Cons

Not a job for anyone not completely committed to the company mission. It’s demanding both physically and mentally.
