Pros

Conveniently located in downtown St. Paul. Pay is fair. Most co-workers were respectful.

Cons

Lulled into thinking temp. job could turn into career. Kept being told I was doing job "perfectly" only to be let go after two months due to "not enough money to keep you on." Worked in procurement division and received little to no feedback on how I was doing.

Pros

Ecolab hires good poeple in my situation I worked with some very good people. Company is very stable and will be there for the long haul.

Cons

- Senior Management is only concerned with their bonus amounts and decisions detrimental to employees are based on how the decision directly affects their year end bonus. - Benefits are average to below average with nothing special offered. - Work environment is old school business and is not very progressive.

Pros

Decent pay for an internship Looks good on resumes - highly selective Free trip to St. Paul for internship kickoff Helps with developing sales techniques

Cons

Service work - you have to be "dressy" and yet are required to crawl under dishwashers and install things in foul-smelling kitchens and retirement homes... if you aren't good with hand-on things, this probably isn't the internship for you. Misleading - they call this a "sales" internship, yet most of your time is spent fixing dishwashers and soap dispensers. Car required - if you don't have a car, don't even think about being a territory sales manager intern with Ecolab. And, if you do have a car, be prepared to put a few thousand miles on it over the summer.
