Pros

When I first started at Edaptive I had no experience and little self confidence in my programming abilities. They gave me a chance when no one else would. I had hear things like you need more experience or come back in 2 - 5 years. But at Edaptive the owners took a chance on me and it has payed off. The company hires fresh grads to Sr. developers. They give a chance to all of those who deserve a chance.

Cons

At Edaptive the company has grown very quickly leaving Edaptive short staffed. This leads to having to learn a wide verity of technologies.

I Wouldn't Advise Working Here

Pros

-Remote work which is quite convenient. -Generally work in smaller teams and have a much more substantial impact on the project you're on. -Coworkers and most senior level employees are kind and try their best to help when able. -Paid for Udemy courses are nice to advance career.

Cons

The company has everyone managing way too much on their plates leading to an overall breakdown of quality software development. This eventually trickles down to devs with a "no failed items" policy allowed on sprints and inevitably leads to poorly planned/described stories, overtime work, and inflated estimates. All of which are detrimental circumstances and are not the proper Agile process. The CEO is generally kind, but you can tell that a lot of these problems stem from her leadership decisions. She will find any reason to hardball/underpay on salary negotiations especially when you’re first hired or right out of college. From what I observe, it seems like she puts more and more work on her employees, especially mid-level managers, without realizing that it makes for lower quality products in the end. They also had randomly laid off a bunch of employees recently without severance. While this could in theory be good entry level experience, I can’t say I appreciate these practices towards those who may not know better or are just trying to stay afloat in their clearly mismanaged role as it seems to be taken advantage of. The quick offer was very tempting, but had I known beforehand I would’ve rejected it. **Also, they're leaving fake reviews.

Pros

I gave it a 1 star because you cannot give it any lower but also because of the first pro about this company. He earned that one star. - I had the privilege to learn from one of the most talented person I know and they were not even the tech-lead for the project. (Too bad they were severely underpaid but they no longer work for Edaptive thank goodness.) - Practices new technology stack to develop some very good software. - Practices agile - Pushes employees to take certification courses - It is a good place to start your career. It makes you realize your worth.

Cons

- Pay is very low. They have high turnover because of this. - Benefits are not as good with regards to being paid very low. I thought the low salary was because the benefits would be so much better. - Timekeeping is like someone breathing down your neck all the time with it needing you to work exactly down to the minutes. - CEO harasses you to write a good Glassdoor review all the time. (to pad and bury bad reviews like this one) - Management. They promote people who brown-nose the CEO and COO. -- My personal experience with my tech-lead was not very good. He didn't show characteristics of being a good leader at all. All he had was that he was smart and could code. He also disrespected/embarrassed me a few times in front of my colleagues.
