Pros

Employees make a career with this company. Low turnover rate Family/ Work Life balance emphasis Observe Government Holidays & NYSE Holidays and office closings Observe Fairfax County School closing for inclement weather Quiet and clean work environment Received an unexpected bonus every year, based off of performance. Significant 1:1 interaction with manager, directors, VP's and CEO. Ric is a very intelligent and well spoken CEO, who understand all aspects of the business and trusts those in decision making positions. Very competitive 401K matching - strongly encourages all employees to plan for their future. Most employees take a lunch break or get away from their desk every day. Seasoned and Experience employees

Cons

Compensation for Non-Financial Planners could be a bit more competitive. With little turnover, promotions are a bit less regular.

Pros

Wonderful people who are mature yet not complacent. FE's technology stack is rapidly evolving and a good technical challenge. FE willingly sponsors H1B engineers and has a good collaborative and Agile culture. The product and service vision and their independent fiduciary pledge makes FE a trustworthy leader in retirement planning and management.

Cons

Currently manages only retirement assets leaving taxable assets to other players. Higher than desirable turnover in both Product and Engineering teams depletes legacy expertise while creating fresh opportunity for progressive thinkers.

Pros

Very good environment. Not overly structured for limiting. Management seems to care about the staff and the success of everyone.

Cons

The firm is not as nimble as it could be. Change is slow and painful. Too many initiatives or product improvements are only delivered in part and subsequent pieces never happen.
