Pros

Fantastic opportunities to work with some great consumer and corporate brands on interesting projects, very capable management at all levels, decent pay, days in lieu offered readily for working long hours or on the weekend, and a clearly articulated company vision bringing the company together.

Cons

Employees often work long hours, not a great pension scheme, quite a top heavy structure - there is a lack of junior support staff, and senior staff often have difficulty in pushing back on clients resulting in unrealistic deadlines and over servicing.

Pros

entrepreneurial environment; fast-paced; ability work with the biggest, best clients in your field with some of the smartest people in the industry

Cons

A driven staff can lead to some uncomfortable political situations. I wouldn't go as far as to say cut-throat, but close. Pets of group leadership tend to get better account choices, more opportunities for new business and career growth and faster promotions.

Pros

--Smartest, most dedicated people in the industry who are in PR for the right reasons and genuninely believe in the tenets convening transparent, honest debate and engagement to drive client agenda forward. --Private firm with leadership committed to truly great work, not just great quarterly margins.

Cons

--For some, a culture where doing average or status quo work is seen as failure is not for them. --Executives are not allowed to rest on laurels and exalted hierarchy is not tolerated. Execs are all required to be hands-on and 'doing' the work, not directly. --I see these as HUGE positives, but I've had colleagues, new hires and recruits say that these are cons. Those folks tend to not last long.
