Pros

Flexible time, you're your own boss (mostly), you gain great networking and management experience, you relate with many people, you have your own office space, the vacation rewards are outstanding, and if you can hang on long enough, you can make a lot of annual income.

Cons

Highly stressful and exhausting first 3-5 years, the work is very repetitive, and money becomes more of a life-focus than it should for many families and many marriages.

Pros

Great experience if you have no experience. Great support system within local area.

Cons

Two person office. The company supports the Financial Advisor. Not a flexible company. They won't allow you to switch branches until you've reached a year there. Need to document your every move to support your actions. BOA position is too expendable, at least that is what Home Office makes you feel.

Pros

You will be rewarded for your efforts.

Cons

Door knocking doesn't work as well in large cities as it does in more rural areas.
