Good company to make an impact as a developer
Pros
For me as a developer, one of the most interesting aspects of working for Egnyte has been the range of projects I have had the freedom to work on. Even as a relatively new hire I had ability to pick up and become the owner of various pieces. It is often fairly quick to see tasks I have worked on materialize into improved system performance / resolved customer issues. In terms of culture I would characterize the environment as pretty relaxed. My coworkers are helpful and I have learned a lot of things from some of the more senior people that I work closely with. HR plans a few fun events every months and some interest based groups have organically developed. Admin has stuck to their guns about maintaining a cash flow positive business while chasing higher growth and have been broadly successful in hitting their goals over the past few years I have worked here.
Cons
As the company grows in customers and employees, some of our processes need to become more streamlined. For example, we need to have a smoother hiring/onboarding pipeline in order to meet our headcount growth goals. We are also trying to quicken our product release cycle and have faced some obstacles there.
