The golden age is over - shedding top talent

Pros

Engineers - You will work with some really sharp engineers. Projects - Fun/challenging projects that will make your resume look good. Its a great experience for new engineers - just don't plan to stay long.

Cons

As others have mentioned in many reviews - it was an engineer's dream workplace pre-2018 when the VP was still employed and running the company. Now you have the following to look forward to: Below market rate pay. Infrequent pay raises - every 2-3 years. Pay is tied to tenure more than actual value added to the company (ie low wages for new engineers regardless of performance relative to older, lower performing engineers) Pay cuts - enough said. No profit share - The last profit share fiscal year was 2015. Only believe he will give profit share when it shows up in your bank account. Top talent is leaving or looking to leave - some even started a competitor that is gaining a lot of traction. Poor morale due to unstable CEO - does not listen to anyone and is getting worse every year. He will make grand promises but will fail to live up to them. No management leadership due to the CEO having 100% control over pay raises/cuts. No one in management can actually do anything and has to convince the CEO to allow it.

Pros

Massive Benefits package including HSA, Matching 401k, Full family plan insurance. Crazy good, only second to Federal Employment.

Cons

Apprentice wages $15-18.50 but they expect journeyman work and disperse all techs/apprentices around campus forcing them to be working alone. No Supervision means no responsibility for any work actually getting done and they just blame techs for delays and mistakes.

Look elsewhere

Pros

Previously (i.e. pre 2018 ish) a true engineering haven. Now good only for junior engineers looking for some hands-on experience before moving up elsewhere.

Cons

Executive leadership changed and now things are falling apart. Owner is crazy with no plan. Completely reactionary and all of the senior talent is jumping off while they still can.
