Pros

Autonomy, Design Experience, Travel, Project Management Experience

Cons

Sometimes too much freedom is given to newer engineers. You've got to be smart to survive the initial couple years. Tough learning curve.

Pros

Significant autonomy. Flexible work schedule. Can be interesting work depending on your project. Lots of access to the shop. I generally trust the business and engineering savvy of the leadership. Tons of very smart engineers there. Lesser engineers tend to wash out, which is a pro or a con depending on how good you are.

Cons

Demanding at times. Work environment aesthetics extremely poor. Just enough rope to hang yourself with. Zieve can be abrasive.
