Pros

Great perks, great advancement opportunities, good salaries. EA is a great place to start a career, although you won't be paid very well in the beginning. Stick with it and your salary will go up, and you can move around within the company to find what interests you in the long term.

Cons

Some studios not very innovative, churning out repetitive products. Technology sharing culture is broken, many teams like to do things from scratch over and over again. Taking vacations during the production cycle is more difficult than at other studios, and you feel pressured not to do it.

Pros

the perks are good, and you get to work with a lot of great people.

Cons

Because EA is such a large company, the different studios vary quite a bit in terms of the work environment, hours, and the quality and integrity of the management. As for the Vancouver studio, all I can say is that, personally, I don't think I would ever want to work there again. There are definitely a lot of perks to working at Electronic Arts in general, but in my experience, they don't always make up for the long hours, lack of recognition, lack of opportunities for career growth, and chaotic day-to-day (lack of) organization.
