Pros

Working with the top talent in the industry without the ego to go with it. People are very passionate about the products we make. Electronic arts is a very well run business that has no debt. That is a very comforting thing in times when the economy is down.

Cons

Can be long hours and it sometimes feels like a very large company. There are times when it feels like other game companies are compensated better than Electronic Arts. The organization has just split into 4 lables and that has made the direction a little harder to follow. However, it appears we are heading in the right direction!

Pros

The perks....free games, time during the work day to take a break and play games, flexibility in your work schedule, nice campus, benefits.

Cons

Really, really big company means its hard to really excel. Its a pretty corporate environment as far as games go, to a fault. Some of the hires are questionable, not enough of the middle managers know the industry. Because of the size, people can skate by with shoddy work, which is frustrating when you are busting your ass.

Pros

Competitive pay. Big company. Stable job. Lots of resources. Some great people work there. Some great IPs you might get a chance to work on.

Cons

Incompetent management is rampant. Promotions come only when you threaten to leave. Lack of performance is tolerated, and it is near-impossible to fire people. Lots of "buddy hires" who aren't qualified to do the job at hand. Quality of the games and the game teams just isn't there. Other developers are way ahead in all areas.
