Pros

I've worked in many different enviroments and work types. I've never worked somewhere where equality and understanding shines brighter. EA Culture is all inclusive and loving.

Cons

Everyone wants to be here. Everyone who gets a job stays. Tenure for employees is long no matter where you look. Positions to move up into dont pop up often and when they do there is always a laundry list of qualified candidates. Because of this the need to pay more isnt a priority. Bonuses and true raises aren't a thing. Your annual raise is dismall at a 1%-3% bump annually.

Pros

Two cafeterias, free coffee and tea, 401k matching, free EA games and free movie rentals.

Cons

Don’t get into QA thinking you can advance. They do some shady stuff to keep people down. And being a female, does not make you equal at all. My male counterparts were promoted doing the exact same work I was. As for getting out of QA, 4 people moved to dev in the 8 years I was there. Not a lot of support for that sort of thing from management. And experience and knowledge means nothing- they will let you go if you don’t fit into their mold.

Pros

There are better places to work outside of EA.

Cons

As someone who has done customer service for the last 7 years I have never worked for a company who empowers their employees so little. I can honestly do nothing for the customer and we are taught that anything that generates revenue is the route to take. If the customer has an issue that requires them to make a purchase if we dont help; we dont help.
