Management is more concerned with buying all of our competition than doing good testing. They reward chasing short-term numbers at the expense of long-term profitability. They don't make the capital investments necessary to improve the quality of our tests. The facility I worked at had primarily custom-built test frames that were always going down and often produced questionable data. Literally two people in the building knew how they worked, and when they retire in two years the entire facility will be SOL.
