Pros

The people who you work with daily. Knowledgeable fun and supportive.

Cons

Cost cutting. A horse drawn carriage won't move without the horse. Try employing people not getting rid of them.

Pros

The people. That is absolutely it.

Cons

Very very many. Let's start with pay. You will be severely underpaid in every way possible. Friends, family will ask how much you are making off your commissions and you will say...zero. Well how about bonuses? Nothing. You will work hourly and bring in millions of dollars to Element to get paid $18 an hour. But, wait. You will get to work overtime right? Well, some. You have to monitor your hours so you don't get too much OT so they can hit EBITDA. AND, your boss will tell you to work at home for free so you can get caught up. Work at home for free...what a slap in the face to the employees. At least we will get EBITDA right?? Wrong. Not for 2018. With the acquisition of Exova, that's where the extra cash will be going. Not to their employees, but to the top dogs. Secondly, during your interview, the manager will say something along the lines of, "You won't make much during your first year to year and a half, but after that time and we think you are ready, you will be promoted to a BDM and make double the money." That all sounds fine and dandy, but I haven't seen one person in the company be promoted from a BDA to a BDM. Some have been BDA's for 6-10 years. But, management will say, "They don't want the responsibility of becoming a BDM, that's why they are staying a BDA." They must not want the responsibility of making double the money either...very very sketchy at Element. Okay for a first job out of college, but once you realize you are making pennies compared to your friends, you will want out ASAP.
