Pros

Salaries are regionally based, so you may be able to make more depending on where you live.

Cons

Jobs never seem stable. Merger threats, persistent reorgs, layoffs, and requests to move to work in offices after you are hired to be a full time remote worker leave workers constantly wondering how long their jobs will exist. Benefits have been drastically cut in the last ten years.

Pros

Work from home opportunities. Some internal/corporate benefits. Tuition reimbursement. Focus on healthy lifestyle and incentives.

Cons

Too many employees in leadership roles who are unqualified and many lack technical skills to do their jobs. Lack of structure and organization. Often times there is a lack of common sense. Low pay for employees who actually shoulder the bulk of the work and undeserving higher pay for employees who do little to nothing. Brown nosers are often rewarded more than those who actually do their job. It is very difficult to increase your job development unless you know someone. Communication is terrible. Processes change constantly and due to fragmented or a lack of communication it leaves employees very confused on what to do. There is quite a bit of turnover and layoffs. The I.T. department is terrible. You get 10 different answers from 10 different people on how to resolve an issue. No one can help you when you have a technical issue. It's like trying to ask someone at Walmart for help, either they're totally clueless or they say, "It's not my department" which is such a shame since our company relies so heavily on computers and technology.
