Pros

Great people in the trenches. Nice to be able to work from home. Decent pay. Lots of different projects to work on so there is a lot of work which keeps you busy. Most that work at Anthem genuinely want to do a good job and make they customer happy. 401K match and paid tuition are nice.

Cons

For a health insurance company they have some of the worst health plans available to employees. No pension for new hires. Upper management seems more concerned with the stock performance than the members or employees. Management has shiny thing syndrome, they chase after the next cool thing that comes along and forget their core values.

The work is not hard.

Cons

The pay is low. The constant 30 minute lunches. If you work a shift that is more than 8 hours a day (i.e. 9 -10 hr shifts), you have to use your PTO to cover any hours over 8 on holidays to get paid for your full shift. Management could be better. Benefits go up and pay still stays low. Quarterly bonuses are a joke. Moving from team to team get old. Teams need stability.

There,realky are not many cons. They do seem to overlook reps,that arent doing their jobs very well and not correcting wrongs
