Pros

Decent compensation I guess, decent PTO, people are often friendly?

Cons

Leadership has NO CLUE what they're doing - they espouse they value their employees but they really care about nothing more than the bottom line and reporting earnings to Wall Street. Any annual raises, even if you are awesome, are a pittance and frankly quite sad. Direction changes by the day or even hour. Leadership reacts and expects everyone to pivot - 7am meetings, 5pm meetings. Lots and lots of throwaway work is done. Decisions are made for the bottom line, not for the benefit of the member or employee. Each year the entire company is asked to do more, faster, with less.

Pros

decent pay, quarterly bonus even if you receive the whole thing its just an extra 200$ every 3-4 months, work from home, weekends off

Cons

no human contact. Elevance, Anthem Blue Cross whatever they choose to call themselves nowadays is a terrible company. NONSTOP CALLS ALL DAY, you get in trouble if you step away. The providers who reach you are usually pissed before you pick the phone, so super fun stuff. mangemnet was emailing us about accidentally having an extra minute on our breaks. I busted my butt for them for a year, and they never asked how I was doing or congratulated me for anything, I had no coworkers to talk to, IT and HR are IMPOSSIBLE because this company is having the Philippines do 80% of their work. BIG ALSO, and ironically worst and most expensive health insurance Ive ever had through them.

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits in most roles.

Cons

Leadership is incompetent and anyone who challenges them gets fired. CEO thinks she knows everything (she doesn't) and refuses to listen to the advice of experts. Her band of lemmings follow her around telling her she's right and demanding that the teams under them give her what she wants, whether or not it's good for the business. Employees have no support or advocacy. If you work here, you are completely disposable. HR sees their role as protecting the incompetent leaders. You should only take a job here if you are desperate. Culture is miserable.
