Pros

I am absolutely loving everything about working at Elevenlabs. The culture is incredible and the people are some of the brightest and kindest people I’ve ever worked with. The caliber of talent here is unlike anything I’ve ever seen (and I’ve worked at multiple tech unicorns). I feel inspired to do great work and I absolutely love the leadership here. It’s still a startup so there is a lot to be done but I thrive in that type of environment so I’m having a blast.

Cons

Competitive compensation- we should continue to improve here.

Thank you for sharing this so openly. Calling the talent density unlike anything you've seen across multiple tech unicorns is the kind of comparison only someone with that context can make, and it stands out coming from a current employee in GTM in our San Francisco office. On compensation, you noted that we should continue to improve. Comp is one of the harder things to raise publicly, and we appreciate you doing so. We would welcome a direct conversation if you are open to one. Thank you for the thoughtful review. ElevenLabs Talent Team

Pros

AI first company high innovation Responsibility and growth are there for the taking

Cons

Very immature leadership - one is trying to gloss over any and all employee concerns with "just work harder - that's how we win". The other does not care about humans whatsoever - all product all the time. If you don't like it then leave. The culture is "when in doubt, fire the person" - margin for error or professional growth is nonexistent. Everything that is slightly contrary to the "everything is great" narrative is quickly shut down, hidden and removed. This goes for employee concerns about comp, discussions about competition in the market, and even down to the HR team reading glassdoor reviews (hi there!) and asking employees to post good reviews. Never bring up any hint of work life balance - even the discussion about haveing a personal life is frowned upon.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share this review. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience at ElevenLabs didn’t reflect the culture we aim to build. Feedback from former employees is incredibly valuable, as it helps us understand where things may have fallen short and how we can continue to mature as an organisation. The concerns you’ve raised around leadership, communication, and work–life balance are taken seriously. We are committed to fostering an environment where people feel supported, listened to, and able to develop - and it’s clear from your comments that we didn’t always meet that bar in your case. While we can’t change your past experience, we can learn from it. As we scale, we’re continually working on strengthening our culture, processes, and leadership practices to ensure the team feels empowered and heard. If you’d ever be open to sharing more context privately, we’d appreciate the opportunity to learn from your perspective. In any case, we sincerely thank you for the time you spent with us and wish you all the best in your future roles. Best wishes, Milly, People Success

Pros

- amazing product, great engineering & researches. You know the company will continue doing well and flying. Good marketing and probably the highest innovative company in the world - Good place to learn and meet VC's , innovative companies and very high intense , business minded people

Cons

- Unfortunately leadership is whack. Feedback is not taken well as 30year olds get their ego hurt when you do so. - Work like a big just after after 6months, before 1 day probation they let you go. You see this across departments - salary is very little and whatever your OTE is , x10 thats your quota. Not the place to make money - If you have kids forget it - its only single people with availablity to travel 100% - little equity - book of business is consistently changing - No loyal to the people / staff - you are irrepleacable and thats what seniors from the company what to demonstrate

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While it’s tough to hear that aspects of your time at ElevenLabs haven’t met your expectations, we truly value the feedback - it helps us understand where we need to improve. The concerns you’ve raised around leadership, compensation, workload, and support for people with different personal circumstances are important. It’s clear from your comments that we haven’t consistently delivered the experience we want for everyone on the team. You noted that you’re a current employee, and I would really appreciate the chance to speak confidentially. Understanding the specifics behind your feedback would help us identify where our processes, communication, or expectations aren’t serving people well as we continue to scale. We remain committed to building a culture where people feel supported, respected, and able to grow - and your feedback underscores the work still to be done. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. Best wishes, Milly, People Success
