      Pros

      Overall working for Sports For Learning is a great experience. It gives you hands on experience working with kids and provides you with knowledge of different kids behaviors. It also teaches you how to react and respond to different situations; such as fighting, poor behavior, attitudes, ect.

      Cons

      Working with new schools may be unorganized, but as long as you communicate with the school's staff it becomes way easier.

      Great internal team for the most part that isn't management

      Everything else. Terrible/incompetent leadership, hectic work environment, constant change that is contradictory to an efficient work environment, extremely low pay, no benefits, no respect for their workers at all. I have worked at some dysfunctional places in the past but nothing compares to this place. Barely anyone has a tenure of more than 6 months because they hate it so much that they quit or they are wrongfully let go. They also let registered felons coach kids without letting the school district know. That goes against the contracts they set in place and also is not an ideal environment for the kids/parents/schools.

      Pros

      Flexibility Working for an amazing cause Fun Culture Love being able to play sports with students sometimes.

      Cons

      With flexibility comes accountability. You need to have a strong self-motivated work ethic to thrive working with SFL.
