Pros

Ellucian generally has a good work-life balance and a lot of resources to support employees with whatever they need. Although it is an enterprise SaaS/software company you do feel connected with the mission of improving student outcomes at higher ed institutions.

Cons

Subject to the whims of private equity owners; still struggling to modernize.

Decent benefits, decent work-life balance.

Cons

Be forewarned if you're on the managed services side of the company - they are happy to leave you be to support the client most of the time, but the second something happens that may remotely look bad on paper for the contract with the school, no matter how benign an issue or how long you've been there, suddenly your managers and corporate folks who have never met you will have no problem treating you like a faceless ID number and tossing you out to save face with the client.
