Challenging - Need to be motivated and work hard
Pros
Small enough number of personnel to get to know everyone in your location. They have fun Christmas parties, and the team I work with gets along great. Everyone I interact with is very knowledgeable and dedicated. Elutions sets the expectation then let's you execute. If you thrive in self directed environments and always try to contribute to the mission, you'll do great. Annual reviews each summer help reset expectations and cover any discussions on benefits/pay. Ever had that group project where someone isn't pulling their weight?... Elutions is smart enough to let those people find new jobs. The new mentorship program seems promising. Great benefits for a small company.
Cons
Elutions goes through business cycles where there is funding for special projects and then they scale back for normal daily operations (common with any business). If you're new to the business world, this can be a shock. Since 2016 expenses haven't been an issue. If you fail to meet your goals, you won't like working here and will probably leave. Turnover used to be high, but in my department I haven't seen a single person leave. The employees who've been around awhile, >3 years, sometimes latch onto the past negatives and don't see the current scenario or future opportunities.
