      Pros

      Small company, growing, decent product.

      Cons

      Technical leadership had poor understanding of design patterns and higher level engineering concepts. Worse is the unwillingness to let go of the steering column for even the smallest of tasks along with the always-delayed need to reduce code complexity. Company insisted they couldn't afford better pay, yet unwilling to negotiate on terms of more vacation or flex-time.

      Pros

      My team members were kind, welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

      Cons

      The company got bought by Pathwire/Mailgun/Sinch, but it hasn't changed from the horrible reviews I've read from before the purchase. The leadership is totalitarian, offering nothing but criticism, negativity, and threats. The demand for perfection while supplying as little training, internal support documentation, and help of any kind is jarring. For a company that claims to cherish their workforce, they work really hard to demotivate you as much as humanly possible. I've been threatened and forced into impossible positions, blamed for failure while being deprived of the tools for success. The hypocrisy and two-faced nature of the culture is suffocating, and leaves you feeling less than.

      Pros

      Very flexible remote culture, management is always willing to listen to the ideas brought to the table, great team collaboration, highly motivated and extremely talented employees, free lunch Friday and unlimited PTO.

      Cons

      As with any fast growing companies sometimes it is a challenge to be on the same page with everyone
