Pros
The general working population tries very hard to makes things work in a completely dysfunctional environment. The regular staff are great people working for management that do nothing to support them or assist their efforts to succeed and the executive level staff are too busy fighting turf battles to realize how badly the organization is rotting away from the inside. Very sad.
Cons
Organization markets all the right sounding ethics, but cannot live by its own values. Management operates under the rigid pecking order popular in the 1950s-1970s. Executive management is clueless and provides no leadership. Micromanagement, covering one's back are necessities. Errors are tracked and documented and will be brought up at review time. Learning from mistakes and moving on won't happen. Mistakes are forever in your record.
