Pros

The university provides with very good benefits. The coworkers are awesome and very nice to work with.

Cons

This institution used to value the employees and treat them well, but not anymore. Slowly the university started hiring unskillful management and consequently created a toxic environment to work. Is not about the degree or the skills you poses anymore; but all about who you know inside the institution. If you know a friend inside, you are in. The same goes for promotions in the institution; you are better off sucking up to management than proving your development if you want to advance within the institution. Is a very toxic environment, you will see a little bit of everything: from bullying to retaliation. Moreover, don't count on HR, as the head of HR is all for management. There is no employee representation within the institution whatsoever. My advice, take your talents and energy elsewhere.

Pros

Living by the beach is great

Cons

No communication. No accountability for hirer ups and it starts with the president, what a perverted jerk. Typical beuracratic system that sends it's students into $100,000's worth of debt. Not transfer friendly either as most transfers will lose more than half credits.

Pros

The University is well-known in the community. Having this work experience on your resume is helpful when searching for other jobs in the Daytona area or beyond.

Cons

There is a lot of glad-handing and "inside" dealing on this campus. Most people have worked with each other before or are personal friends. If you are not part of the club, or if you don't fit the 'mold' somehow, they will find a way to get rid of you, and fast!
